What is CVE-2007-6059?

Javamail encounters issues when processing a series of invalid login attempts where the email address is erroneously used as both the username and password. One key factor is that the domain segment yields a Java UnknownHostException. This flaw opens the door for remote attackers to exhaust connection pools by submitting numerous requests, ultimately resulting in a SQLNestedException. Although Sun Microsystems has challenged this report's accuracy, the risk remains significant for users relying on Javamail in their applications.
