Multiple stack-based buffer overflows in the ActiveX control 'awApi4.AnswerWorks.1' within 'awApi4.dll' version 4.0.0.42 may allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by providing excessively long arguments to methods such as GetHistory, GetSeedQuery, and SetSeedQuery. This vulnerability is present in various Intuit products including QuickBooks, Quicken, ProSeries, TurboTax, and the Vantage Linguistics AnswerWorks software, posing significant security risks to users that might unknowingly invoke these methods.
