What is CVE-2008-0445?

The replace_inline_img function within the elogd component of Electronic Logbook (ELOG) prior to version 2.7.1 is vulnerable to a denial of service attack. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disrupt the service by crafting specific logbook entries that lead to an infinite loop condition, causing the system to become unresponsive. This attack affects the availability of the logbook service, requiring administrative intervention to restore functionality.
