Summary
The hpssd message parser in HP Linux Imaging and Printing (HPLIP) 1.6.7 is susceptible to a Denial of Service condition. An attacker can disrupt the service by sending a specially crafted packet, notably the 'msg=0' command, to TCP port 2207. This flaw allows local users to effectively halt the service, causing instability and interruptions that can affect the usability of the software.
