What is CVE-2008-4764?

The eXtplorer module in Joomla! is susceptible to a directory traversal vulnerability, allowing remote attackers to read arbitrary files on the server. This occurs through manipulation of the 'dir' parameter in the 'show_error' action, using a '..' (dot dot) sequence.
