What is CVE-2008-5757?
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in the textarea/index.php component of Textpattern CMS versions up to 4.0.6. This flaw can be exploited by remote authenticated users, enabling them to inject arbitrary web scripts or HTML content into articles via the Body parameter. This can lead to significant security risks, such as user session hijacking and site defacement, particularly if the injected scripts are executed in the context of other users' sessions.
