What is CVE-2008-5826?

The Nokia 6131 NFC phone with firmware version 05.12 is susceptible to a denial of service attack. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to crash the device by exploiting the payload length field in NDEF records, or by manipulating the length of certain URIs, such as tel: and sms:. If successfully executed, this can result in significant disruptions to device functionality, affecting users' ability to safely use their devices.
