What is CVE-2008-6884?
Multiple vulnerabilities present in XOOPS 2.3.1, particularly when the register_globals setting is enabled, allow attackers to manipulate the xoopsConfig[language] parameter. By exploiting these vulnerabilities, remote attackers can include and execute arbitrary local files via the use of dot-dot ('..') notation in files such as blocks.php and main.php within the xoops_lib/modules/protector/ directory, potentially leading to unauthorized access and execution of malicious scripts.
