What is CVE-2009-1157?
The memory leak vulnerability in Cisco Adaptive Security Appliances (ASA) 5500 Series and PIX Security Appliances allows remote attackers to exploit the device using specially crafted TCP packets. This can lead to excessive memory consumption, potentially resulting in a denial of service or forcing the device to reload, which compromises network security and availability.
