Vulnerability in ATEN IP KVM Switches Affects Security of Mouse Operations
CVE-2009-1474
Currently unrated
What is CVE-2009-1474?
The ATEN KH1516i and KN9116 IP KVM switches have significant security issues. They fail to encrypt mouse events, allowing man-in-the-middle attackers to conduct unauthorized mouse operations by injecting network traffic. Additionally, these switches do not set the secure flag for session cookies in HTTPS, making it easier for remote attackers to intercept these cookies during transmission in HTTP sessions, compromising sensitive data. This creates a critical need for users to review their security settings and firmware versions.
