What is CVE-2009-2976?

Cisco Aironet Lightweight Access Point devices are potentially exposed to significant security risks due to the transmission of certain multicast data frames in cleartext. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to intercept sensitive information, including Wireless LAN Controller MAC addresses, IP addresses, and detailed configuration information of the Access Points by simply sniffing the wireless network traffic.
