What is CVE-2010-0262?

Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (SP1 and SP2) and Excel 2004 for Mac contain a flaw in the parsing of Excel file formats. This vulnerability enables remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by crafting a malicious spreadsheet that exploits an uninitialized stack variable. Successful exploitation may allow attackers to gain unauthorized access or control over the affected systems.
