This vulnerability within Cisco ASA 5500 and PIX 500 Series Security Appliances allows remote attackers to induce a denial of service by sending a malformed Internet Key Exchange (IKE) message through an existing tunnel on UDP port 4500. This can disrupt active IPsec tunnels and prevent the establishment of new tunnels, impacting the security and availability of network communications.
