What is CVE-2010-1167?

The vulnerability in Fetchmail occurs when debug mode is enabled and it fails to properly handle invalid characters in a multi-character locale. This oversight can be exploited by remote attackers, leading to a denial of service condition characterized by memory consumption and application crashes induced through crafted message headers or manipulated POP3 UIDL lists.
