What is CVE-2010-1688?

A stack-based buffer overflow exists in 2BrightSparks SyncBack Freeware version 3.2.20.0 and potentially other earlier versions before 3.2.21. This vulnerability can be exploited by user-assisted remote attackers, allowing execution of arbitrary code when the application processes a specially crafted long filename in a .sps or zip profile. Adequate input validation is crucial to mitigate the risk of such attacks.
