What is CVE-2010-20119?
CommuniCrypt Mail contains a vulnerability in its ActiveX controls, ANSMTP.dll and AOSMTP.dll, specifically within the AddAttachments() method. This vulnerability arises from inadequate validation of input string lengths, which allows data to overflow the bounds of a fixed-size stack buffer. When an excessively long string is provided, it can corrupt adjacent memory structures, potentially compromising program stability and security, including the disruption of control flow and the potential for executing arbitrary code.
