What is CVE-2010-2129?

The JE Ajax Event Calendar component of Joomla! has a directory traversal vulnerability that enables remote attackers to access sensitive files. This is achievable by manipulating the 'view' parameter in the 'index.php' file, using a '../' (dot dot) sequence. Exploiting this vulnerability can expose critical information stored on the server, facilitating further attacks. Users of affected versions 1.0.1 and 1.0.3 should consider upgrading to mitigate risks associated with this vulnerability.
