What is CVE-2010-2311?

Power Tab Editor version 1.7 build 80 is susceptible to a stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability that can be exploited by remote attackers with user-assisted techniques. By crafting a malicious .ptb file containing an excessively long font name, an attacker can execute arbitrary code on the system. This vulnerability poses a significant risk, especially for users who open untrusted or unknown .ptb files.
