What is CVE-2010-4221?

ProFTPD, a popular FTP server software, is susceptible to multiple stack-based buffer overflow vulnerabilities due to improper handling of the TELNET IAC escape character in the 'pr_netio_telnet_gets' function. These vulnerabilities allow remote attackers to exploit the flaws, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution on affected FTP and FTPS servers.
