What is CVE-2011-10010?

The QuickShare File Server version 1.2.1 has a vulnerability in its FTP service that allows authenticated users to exploit improper input validation. By submitting crafted file paths, these users can traverse directories to access or write files outside the intended virtual directory. When the 'Writable' option is enabled by default during account creation, it becomes possible for attackers to upload files to sensitive locations, such as system32. This flaw can lead to significant risks, including remote code execution via MOF injection or the placement of executable files.
