The NetOp Remote Control Client v9.5 contains a vulnerability that can be exploited through a stack-based buffer overflow when processing maliciously crafted .dws configuration files. Specifically, if a .dws file includes a string exceeding 520 bytes, the application fails to adequately check for bounds, thereby enabling an attacker to execute arbitrary code upon opening the file.
