What is CVE-2011-1586?
The directory traversal vulnerability in KGet allows remote attackers to manipulate file creation by utilizing the '..' (dot dot) sequence in the name attribute of file elements within metalink files. This flaw, identified in versions of KDE SC 4.6.2 and earlier, arose due to an incomplete resolution of a previous vulnerability (CVE-2010-1000). Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to unauthorized file access and could compromise the integrity of the system.
