What is CVE-2011-1947?

Fetchmail versions 5.9.9 through 6.3.19 are vulnerable to a denial of service attack due to insufficient management of wait times following STARTTLS or STLS requests. This vulnerability permits remote servers to exploit the application by acknowledging encryption requests without sending further packets, resulting in the application hanging and becoming unresponsive.
