What is CVE-2011-2749?

A remote attacker can exploit a vulnerability in ISC DHCP versions 3.x and 4.x before 4.2.2, and specific ESV versions, allowing them to send a specially crafted BOOTP packet that causes the DHCP server's daemon to exit unexpectedly. This results in a denial of service condition, compromising the server's ability to respond to client requests.
