What is CVE-2011-3440?
The Passcode Lock feature in Apple iOS prior to version 5.0.1 on iPad 2 contains a vulnerability related to the improper implementation of the locked state. This flaw allows physically proximate attackers to gain unauthorized access to sensitive data by exploiting a weakness that occurs when a Smart Cover is opened during the device's power-off confirmation process.
