What is CVE-2011-5325?
A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the BusyBox implementation of tar prior to version 1.22.0 v5. This flaw enables remote attackers to exploit symlinks to reference files located outside the current working directory. By leveraging this vulnerability, an attacker could potentially read or alter configuration files or sensitive data, increasing the risk of unauthorized access to information stored on affected systems.
