What is CVE-2012-0245?

A stack-based buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the RobNetScanHost.exe of ABB Robot Communications Runtime, prior to version 5.14.02. This flaw can be exploited by remote attackers through specially crafted Netscan packets (specifically 0xA or 0xE), potentially allowing the execution of arbitrary code. The affected products include ABB Interlink Module, IRC5 OPC Server, PC SDK, PickMaster 3, PickMaster 5, RobView 5, RobotStudio, WebWare SDK, and WebWare Server.
