Summary
The Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) 5500 series devices, running software versions from 7.2 to 8.4, are susceptible to a proxy authentication bypass vulnerability. This issue occurs due to the improper handling of proxy authentication during attempts to traverse the firewall. As a result, remote attackers can exploit this vulnerability to gain unauthorized access to sensitive information through a connection attempt.
