What is CVE-2012-10036?

Project Pier versions 0.8.8 and earlier are vulnerable to an arbitrary file upload issue that allows unauthenticated users to upload malicious PHP files via the tools/upload_file.php endpoint. Due to inadequate file type validation and lack of authentication enforcement, attackers can place harmful files in a web-accessible directory. This vulnerability can lead to remote code execution, enabling attackers to control the affected server by executing uploaded scripts.
