What is CVE-2012-10049?

WebPageTest versions 2.6 and earlier suffer from a serious arbitrary file upload vulnerability in the resultimage.php script. This issue arises because the application does not properly validate or sanitize user-supplied input prior to saving uploaded files in a directory that is publicly accessible. Consequently, this security flaw can enable remote attackers to upload and execute arbitrary PHP code, potentially leading to full remote code execution in the context of the web server. Organizations should take immediate steps to ensure they are using a patched version to mitigate this risk.
