What is CVE-2012-1221?

A directory traversal vulnerability exists in the telnet server component of RabidHamster R2/Extreme 1.65 and earlier, allowing remote attackers to exploit the File command with manipulative input sequences (such as ..) to read arbitrary files on the system. This can lead to unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information, posing significant risks to system security and data integrity.
