What is CVE-2012-1841?

The vulnerability in the Quantum Scalar i500 and Dell ML6000 tape libraries allows remote attackers to exploit the logShow.htm file. By supplying a crafted full pathname in the file parameter, attackers can read arbitrary files stored on the server. This security flaw, present in firmware versions prior to i7.0.3 for Quantum and A20-00 for Dell, poses a significant risk as it could lead to unauthorized access and exposure of sensitive information.
