What is CVE-2012-4715?
A buffer overflow vulnerability exists in the LogReceiver.exe component of RSLinx Enterprise by Rockwell Automation. The vulnerability allows remote attackers to exploit the application by sending specially crafted UDP packets that contain an integer length value that is either too large or too small. This can result in improper handling by the Logger.dll, leading to a denial of service condition that crashes the daemon or potentially allows execution of arbitrary code.
