What is CVE-2012-6702?

Expat XML Parser is susceptible to a vulnerability that can compromise cryptographic protection mechanisms when the parser does not call XML_SetHashSalt or when a seed of 0 is provided. This vulnerability can allow context-dependent attackers to exploit predictable behavior in the srand function, potentially leading to security breaches.
