What is CVE-2013-10037?
WebTester version 5.x contains an OS command injection vulnerability in its install2.php installation script. The flaw arises because parameters such as cpusername, cppassword, and cpdomain are processed without proper sanitization before being passed to shell commands. This design oversight enables a remote, unauthenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying system with the privileges of the web server. Effective exploitation requires the attacker to craft a malicious HTTP POST request targeting the affected application.
