What is CVE-2013-10055?

A vulnerability has been identified in Havalite CMS, specifically in version 1.1.7 and earlier, which allows an unauthenticated attacker to upload arbitrary files through the upload.php script. This flaw occurs due to inadequate validation of file extensions and a lack of authentication checks. By exploiting this vulnerability, attackers can upload malicious PHP files through crafted multipart/form-data POST requests. Once these files are uploaded, they can be executed remotely by accessing them at the specific path, leading to potential remote code execution and compromising the server's integrity.
