A vulnerability exists in the KDE Paste Applet where the KRandom::random function improperly utilizes the GNU C Library's rand function. This implementation relies on a linear congruential generator, which can lead to predictable output. Context-dependent attackers could exploit this predictability to compromise cryptographic protections, potentially exposing sensitive data transferred through the KDE Paste Applet.
