What is CVE-2013-4508?

The lighttpd web server, prior to version 1.4.34, has a configuration flaw associated with the Server Name Indication (SNI) feature, which results in the use of weak SSL cipher suites. This vulnerability can allow remote attackers to leverage insecure cipher configurations to hijack sessions by injecting malicious packets into the data stream exchanged between the client and server. Additionally, this flaw may expose sensitive information as attackers can sniff the network traffic, making it imperative for users to update to a patched version to ensure secure communications.
