What is CVE-2013-6693?
The vulnerability in the MLDP implementation within Cisco IOS versions 15.3(3)S and earlier on 7600 routers can be exploited by remote attackers. By configuring numerous virtual routing and forwarding (VRF) instances and establishing many multicast flows, attackers may trigger chunk corruption, leading to device instability and unexpected reloads. This security flaw poses risks to network availability and requires prompt mitigation to safeguard network resources.
