What is CVE-2013-6701?

The Transport Node Controller (TNC) on Cisco ONS 15454 devices exhibits a vulnerability due to improper prioritization of health pings in the tNetTaskLimit process. This flaw enables remote attackers to overwhelm the system with excessive network traffic, thereby triggering a denial of service. The result may include a watchdog timeout and subsequent reset of the TNC, severely impacting network performance and stability.
