What is CVE-2014-3601?
A vulnerability in the kvm_iommu_map_pages function allows users of guest operating systems to exploit a miscalculation of page numbers during mapping failures. This flaw can lead to host operating system memory corruption or excessive memory consumption, effectively causing a denial of service. Attackers may manipulate large or small guest frame numbers, leading to significant system instability and resource exhaustion.
