What is CVE-2014-3990?

A vulnerability in OpenCart's Cart::getProducts method allows remote attackers to exploit the application through crafted serialized PHP objects. By manipulating the quantity parameter within an update request, attackers are able to execute server-side request forgery (SSRF) attacks or potentially conduct XML External Entity (XXE) attacks. This can lead to unauthorized access to sensitive data or execution of arbitrary code on the server, highlighting the importance of securing the underlying PHP input handling.
