What is CVE-2014-4643?

Multiple heap-based buffer overflows exist in the Core FTP LE 2.2 application that can be exploited by remote FTP servers. Attackers can craft specific commands, including USER, PASS, PASV, SYST, PWD, or CDUP, containing excessively long strings. When processed by the application, this can lead to denial of service due to application crashes and potentially allow the execution of arbitrary code, compromising the system's integrity.
