What is CVE-2014-4992?

The cap-strap gem version 0.1.5 for Ruby contains a vulnerability due to the way it handles credentials within the useradd command line. This flaw permits local users to access sensitive information by simply listing running processes. As a result, any credentials passed during the execution of useradd can be exposed, allowing unauthorized access to confidential data. This poses a significant risk, especially in environments where multiple users might have access to the same system.
