What is CVE-2015-6928?

In versions 5.2.12 to 5.2.16 and 6.x before 6.0.7 of CubeCart, the admin password reset functionality is susceptible to exploitation. The system fails to sufficiently validate requests for password resets, which enables attackers to change the administrator's password mistakenly by executing a recovery request that contains a space character in the validation parameter along with the administrator's email. This oversight may lead to unauthorized access and potential administrative account takeover.
