What is CVE-2015-8012?

A vulnerability in lldpd prior to version 0.8.0 allows remote attackers to exploit malformed packets, leading to assertion failures that can crash the daemon. This poses a risk for service availability, as the daemon will stop processing network packets upon encountering such an issue.
