What is CVE-2015-8704?
A vulnerability exists in ISC BIND versions prior to 9.9.8-P3, 9.9.x, and 9.10.x before 9.10.3-P3, where remote authenticated users can exploit a flaw in the Address Prefix List (APL) handling within the apl_42.c file. This vulnerability may lead to a denial of service condition caused by an assertion failure, forcing the BIND daemon to exit unexpectedly. Such exploitation could disrupt DNS services, affecting availability and reliability.
