What is CVE-2015-8973?
The MyBB forum software contains a vulnerability in the xmlhttp.php file that allows remote attackers to bypass intended access restrictions by exploiting weaknesses related to the forum password. This vulnerability affects users of MyBB prior to version 1.6.18, as well as those using versions in the 1.8.x line before 1.8.6, including the MyBB Merge System. Attackers could potentially gain unauthorized access to sensitive areas of the forum, compromising user data and undermining the integrity of the platform.
