What is CVE-2016-0015?

A vulnerability in the DirectShow component of Microsoft Windows could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code on a vulnerable system. This is achieved by exploiting heap corruption via a specially crafted file. A remote attacker could entice a user to open such a file, leading to unauthorized actions and potential system compromise across various Windows versions, including Windows Vista, Windows 7, and later iterations.
