What is CVE-2016-0353?
IBM Security Privileged Identity Manager versions prior to 2.0.2 FP8, when utilized as a Virtual Appliance, do not enforce the secure flag for session cookies during HTTPS sessions. This oversight potentially allows remote attackers to intercept session cookie transmissions if the communication inadvertently occurs over unencrypted HTTP. Consequently, this situation heightens the risk of unauthorized access to sensitive user sessions, necessitating the implementation of best practices for cookie security management.
